Today we went on a very short one mile hike to the canyon overlook. It was evening so we wanted to get there before the sunset. When we drove there we had to pass through a tunnel. This was the longest tunnel I have ever gone in, it was one whole mile! Inside it was so dark you could not see your hand in front of your face, except when they had an occasional “window”.
Ascending the hillside we walked up steep switch backs. At one point in the hike we were walking under a huge over hang, kind of like a cave. We arrived at the top and were just in time to see the sunset, which was not amazingly spectacular.
