We are now driving past endless fields of corn on the monotonous, unbroken topography of Nebraska. The beauty of the mountains in Colorado and the shimmering bright yellow of the aspen trees are already a memory that seems so long ago. When we stopped to make lunch, Spunky asked “How could anyone live here?”, complaining about the “air being full of water”. It does make us thankful for the beautiful Southern Oregon climate we live in, minus the smoke, of course.
The chatter in the back seat means that school is not getting done efficiently. Thankfully, there are only a few days where driving and school happen at once. The winds on the plains rock the trailer and truck considerably, therefore I can’t really grade on neatness of work done. However, no one has been car sick… yet!
