The ninety percent humidity rolled off the brilliant green foliage in the cool of the morning at the Illinois Beach Park. Step to the front. Step to the back. Shuffle to the side. Smack!. The dance with a hundred mosquitos was not the dancing I was dreaming of. The natives probably found it quite amusing to watch the trailer being hooked up, as they sat either drenched with chemicals or immune to the nasty blood suckers. We are tasty organic west coast veggies (where the only good fresh food is grown). What bug would not want to eat us without having to die?
Speaking of vegetables, seriously, we are blessed on the west coast with a grand abundance of fresh vegetables. The ones out here are mostly shipped from our side of the world and they don’t travel very well. Some have even been from as far away as Holland! After all of our dear friends and family, the produce is what we miss the most. You can eat some just for us! It’ll help detox you from all the smoke 😉Â
