We did not intend to spend a whole lot of time site seeing in Philadelphia, which ended up turning out well. At least we didn’t have disappointed expectations. We enjoyed the torrential downpour and strong gusts of wind from the inside of the trailer than we would have from under an umbrella. The day we did go out, was set back by a stack of plates and a gallon of water all over the trailer floor. Somehow, I didn’t balance the washing tub on the narrow triangle of counter very well. Needless to say, we still have enough plates to eat from and the slivers of glass didn’t leave any permanent damage to anyone or anything.
The incident did make the tour through Philadelphia seem shorter than it really was, though. Before the sun set, we were able to view the outside of Independence Hall, walk past the Liberty Bell and enjoy the architecture of a few other buildings. In the dark, we toured a very unique side of Philadelphia with some of the cousins on Chicory’s side.
